This dataset comes from the collaboration with the BALSAC population registry, a genealogical database developed at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. Data collection was conducted in two phases, during recruitment (2009/07/29-2015/02/11) and in 2024 (2024/04/02-2024/06/03) for participants who had not already completed the collection process. A total of 11,467 participants contributed to this collaboration. To access the BALSAC registry data, a request must be submitted to the BALSAC team (https://balsac.uqac.ca/en/acces-donnees/). The current version is 2.0.
This dataset includes information on :
- Genealogical lineages spanning four centuries
- Sex, place and date of birth, marriage and death, migration status
- Genetic contribution
